You’ll work hard, get creative, think outside the box, and be challenged on a daily basis, but it just might be the best job you’ve ever had. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.
AmeriCorps, Peace Corps, and other national service alumni are encouraged to apply!

Assessment Team Member
Boots on the ground! Be part for the initial response team that goes in following a disaster to assess the damage and needs of the affected region.
Let the hammers fly! It is true that many hands lighten the load, but they still need coordinating! We always need a site foreman to be out in the field organizing the building work carried out by volunteers and local staff.
It’s going to be a big one! Become our project manager for the larger build jobs that require sketches, plans, materials, logistics, vehicles, budgets, labour, contingencies, partnerships and the kitchen sink.
Point and Coordinate! Making sure all the work is well organised with teams having all the right tools. The coordinator matches the needs of the community with capable hands.
Drop and clear! Bring down unsafe structure and clear debris so communities can start the path to recovery.
The disaster needs you! Help us get the volunteers we need through the doors and make sure they have somewhere to sleep, something to eat and maybe even somewhere to shower!
2nd in command, captain! The APD plays the crucial and supportive role for the project. Ensuring daily tasks are achieved and that the project runs according to plan.
The boss! The leader figure that guides the day to day activities of what we do on project. Overseeing the staff and managing the strategic response of AHV for a community in need.
